Our commitment
Planning Familial Luxembourg is a feminist association.
Our primary objective is sexual, emotional and reproductive health as a fundamental right for all.
Planning Familial works to ensure that everyone has access to reliable information, supportive guidance and high-quality sexual and reproductive health services.
It defends the right to choose, to love and to decide for oneself, with respect and freedom.
Our missions
- Defend and promote the right of everyone to make free, informed and responsible choices regarding sexuality and reproduction, without coercion or violence.
- Guarantee access to information, education and services relating to sexual, reproductive and emotional health as a fundamental human right.
- Fighting against all forms of discrimination and stigmatisation, welcoming every person with respect and dignity, regardless of their identity, origin or situation.
- Supporting individual autonomy from a feminist perspective, by providing concrete means to exercise one's choices and combating inequalities.
Our campaigns
#Sangpourcent
Did you know that?
- 8 out of 10 girls experience period-related stress at school.
- 72% of girls start menstruating before the age of 13, but only 50% receive the necessary information.
For these reasons, and because Planning Planning wants to combat period poverty, the #Sangpourcent programme was created.
The #Sangpourcent project is an initiative dedicated to menstrual health that aims to provide sanitary kits to women in precarious situations, particularly young women and students.
This programme provides access to essential menstrual products in order to remove the barriers associated with this basic need.
In addition to products, #Sangpourcent offers clear and tailored information resources to raise awareness.
The emergency pill
Did you know that?
- The sooner it is taken, the more effective it is. After 5 days, it is no longer effective.
- The morning-after pill is free and available without a prescription: you can find it at pharmacies or Planning Familial centers.
- The emergency contraceptive pill does not protect against STIs.
What is it used for?
The emergency contraceptive pill, sometimes called the ‘morning-after pill’, is an emergency contraceptive method designed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure (broken condom, missed pill, etc.).
Violence
Did you know that?
- The National Centre for Victims of Violence has just opened in Luxembourg City (Stäreplaz / Étoile).
- Healthy relationships are essential for your personal, social and intimate fulfilment.
Caring for people who have experienced violence or rape is one of our main concerns.
This includes physical, psychological, sexual, economic and institutional violence, as well as female genital mutilation (FGM).
Planning Familial and the National Centre for Victims of Violence are here to help you and offer support to break the cycle of violence.
The puberty
Did you know that?
- Puberty is the period during which your body changes the most.
- During adolescence, you can go from happiness to sadness in a minute!
- Not everything you see online is necessarily true.
Puberty is a time when your body, thoughts and needs change a lot. It happens gradually, often between the ages of 10 and 15, but it’s different for everyone; sometimes it starts earlier, sometimes later, and that’s normal!
If you want to know why your body is changing so much, understand new relationships and emotions, learn about consent and sexuality, or find out where to get help, Planning Familial offers a video and a comprehensive brochure on this topic.

Our resources
Planning Familial provides you with a wealth of resources in the form of fact sheets, booklets, visuals and also information on legislation concerning sexual and reproductive rights.
WAT äntweren?
The WAT äntweren? pilot project, for example, offers a practical online guide with information and tips on how to deal with various issues that parents may encounter, in the form of summary sheets. It is based on real questions from children, young people and parents and follows seven main principles:
- Putting children at the heart of the project with their own questions.
- Addressing all parents, including teachers (simplifying theory into practice) from a perspective of neutrality and respect for sexual rights.
- Taking into account age, different life contexts and expertise in the field,
- Establishing initial guidelines (key points/benchmarks) for intervention,
- Adopting a caring attitude towards parents (respect for everyone),
- Encouraging reflection on one’s role as a parent,
- Recommending professionals, tools and training courses for further support.
Topics covered:
Sexuality and its diversity, but also consent, puberty, sexual abuse, social media, romantic and family relationships, gender, etc.
