The pubis is the anterior (front) part of the pelvic bone. It’s a region located at the front of the pelvis, between the hips. In anatomical terms, it forms part of the bony pelvis, and more specifically of the pubic bone, which is one of the three bones that make up each hemipelvis (along with the ilium and ischium). The pubis is also associated with the external genital area, often referred to as the Mount of Venus region.
