Sexual intercourse is a broad term, which can be defined individually by each person. There are many types of sex or intercourse, and not all of them necessarily involve penetration or contact of the sexual organs. However, intercourse can be understood as penetrative contact (vaginal or anal) or non-penetrative activities such as oral sex, genital contact with the hands, petting or solitary sex (masturbation), etc. Sexual relations always involve certain responsibilities towards oneself and one’s partner(s), concerning subjects such as consent, contraception or limits.
