Seropositivity

This refers to a person who has received a positive serology result, i.e. the test indicates that he or she is infected, that there are antibodies specific to the disease or infection tested. In everyday language, when we say that a person is seropositive, we mean that he or she is infected with HIV. However, it’s possible to be HIV-positive for all kinds of diseases and infections.
