According to the WHO: “The threat or intentional use of physical force or power against oneself or others, or against a group or community, that results in, or is likely to result in, injury or death, psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation”. There are different types of violence: physical violence, psychological violence (moral, mental or emotional), domestic violence (against a person with whom the perpetrator is cohabiting in a family setting), sexual violence, rape, forced abortion, forced sterilization, genital mutilation, obsessive and sexual harassment, including “cyberstalking”.
